You do you.

To change your life is not that hard, really. It will take some time, sure, but hard, no. If you want to change your life, the only thing you need to do is have the intention, true intention, to become more yourself, every daychange as a lotus flower

I am not talking about a desire to change, or anything like that. First of all, you will not get far with a desire. When you have a desire to move your arm, you say it in your mind, will your arm move?

No, of course not! Only when you have the true intention of moving your arm, you just lift it, simple as that. The same goes for life.

It also has no lasting effect to set the intention to change yourself, to change your life. You will be in a constant struggle with yourself, and you will never get anything done.

To change your life, you need to become unapologetically yourself. That is the key, if you want to change your life for the better.

How to keep on going if you don’t see the change?

I very well understand that sometimes, it is hard to see the changes that are going on. Here, I have listed a few helpful tips and points to remember, whenever you feel down.

  1. Do what you like

do what you life to changeLearn to say no to what other people want you to do. Additionally, learn to say yes to what you want to do! It is very important that you start doing the things you like to do, for yourself.

What others say does not matter, they are not you. It is your life, take control over it.

One thing that needs to be said, though. If doing something what you like harms others, by any means, do not do it! You will only harm yourself more.

Everything you do should come from a place of true authenticity. Achieve this, and the world will see your value. Just don’t go out and deliberately harm people.

When it concerns the feelings of others, you cannot do anything about those. It is important to do what you feel good with, not your uncle, brother or parents. It is perfectly okay to remind yourself of this, in times of insecurity. Realizing this will lead to an instant change in your life.

  1. Remind yourself that it is ok to feel this way.

relax to see the changeYou will have those days you are doing stuff that you absolutely love, but you are just not feeling it. You are just not feeling the drive and motivation to keep going.

It is at those moments you will have to remind yourself it is okay to feel this way. It is okay to feel down at points in your life.

But that is not a reason to quit, just because you are feeling unsatisfied for a couple of days doesn’t mean you have to quit and look for the next best thing.

To change your life, you have to remind yourself that it is okay to sometimes feel down. Only, let those feelings not hinder your continuous process. Always make it a habit to make steps each and every day, even when you feel down.

The steps don’t have to be big, but just decide to make a step. Most likely, you will start to feel better as well.

  1. Patience is the key to see the change

patience to see the changeWhen things don’t go immediately your way, just know that life works like that. Patience is probably the most important word in this story.

Look at a butterfly, for example, a butterfly doesn’t start off looking all nice and cute and beautiful.

It starts like a (most of the times) ugly and helpless little caterpillar, after that it will move into an even more hideous cocoon.

And it is only after a whole bunch of unseen change has happened in your life, behind the scenes, that cocoon will burst and a beautiful butterfly emerges into view.

It works the same when you have set the true intention of changing your life. Some time will pass during which nothing seems to happen. Your only job now, is to stay patient and keep making small steps towards your goal. Change is happing, only behind the scenes. Stay patient and you will be rewarded.

  1. The real change is lasting change

change is lastingChange doesn’t happen because you force it to happen, real change that is. Lasting change. Change in your life will only happen if you create the right circumstances, and leave space to grow.

Because change is something that happens without being seen. It happens as an unconscious process within yourself. Real change does not happen on the physical plane.

You need to realize that, in order to create this space, you will need to withdraw your attachments from the world. Look inside and return to who you really are.

You do you, very nicely expresses this. Be yourself, and allow this lasting change to come into your life. You will see that it will come, and that it will stay, as long as you stay yourself, no matter what.

  1. The change is already happening inside

the change is happening insideWhen I say this, I don’t mean that change won’t show itself on the physical plane, it will not happen there. Real change starts deep within the body, inside of the soul, the psyche. Inside that cocoon.

And people don’t see that. Damn, a lot of times you will not even feel it yourself either. And that is the whole beauty of it.

There will come a point in your life, after you have created the space and let life do the rest, that you will look back and say: “Wow, not in a million years would I have thought this possible when I was younger…”

Trust the process, because everything will be alright. Like an amazing woman recently told me: Every story has a happy ending. When your story seems to end bad, that means it is not at the end yet!

Life is awesome, just let it do its work. Relax, breathe, let go. It will be alright, one way or another.
